What do you hate most about indiscriminate people who spread the virus?
I hate the fact that in this day and age, there are still people who have sex without using protection and are purposely spreading the virus saying if they die, they will not die alone! That is the most evil thing I have ever heard… Not disclosing your status means… you are in denial and it leads to stress, deceit and unfaithfulness. I encourage people I meet to make it a habit to get tested, so that they know where they stand. At least then, they will stop accusing abathakathi or attributing their predicament to amadlozi, and focus on living a clean and safe life!

What do you know for sure, about life?
That it can be enjoyed! It has got ups and downs, but it can be enjoyed to the fullest.
How do you share your life story with people?
I do motivational talks at conferences and corporate functions. But my best talks are with young people at high schools and at universities where I let it all out and talk their language! I love the fast-paced interaction I have with them. My life is… amazing!
If there is one person who is loved, itís me! God is blessing me in the most amazing way and I am truly loving life right now. Besides my mother, one female that inspires me is… Oprah Winfrey. She is outstanding and I simply adore her. To young people, I say… please wait and be mature enough before you engage in sexual activity. To men and women who intentionally spread the disease, I say… God be with you. I pray that His love touches you enough to change from your wicked ways. To the church community, I say… please, don't judge those of us who have HIV. While we are meant to find solace within the church community, we are ostracized, gossiped about and discriminated against, by you who profess to be Godís children. It is such a shame… To parents of people living with HIV, I say… love and accept us with all our faults. We were going through the motions of growing up and trying to find love and acceptance. We did not go out there intentionally seeking the virus.
